badass manga, crappy anime

A manga (made into 3 crappy anime series) by Ken Akamatsu started out as a harem-type adventure in a magic school due to what was expected of him. Needless to say folks weren't impressed (It didn't help the man made Naru, one of the worse tsunderes in history)
But the man wanted for it to be more and when he got the chance he took it in an action direction where it found more success, while keeping up the fanservice levels at times. And with introduction of characters like Jack Rakan, this series has proven itself a modern shounen that doesn't suck. (Good read if you don't get Love hina flashbacks)
